Easy Angel Crafts: Winged Cardstock Angel

This fun and easy Winged Cardstock Angel project can quickly become a whole choir of angels with simple and inexpensive materials and tools.

This version is a light gray, almost silver.
Let's look at the materials and the steps for how to make this simple and pretty angel:

Easy Angel Crafts: Winged Cardstock Angel Materials and Tools:

Paper - medium weight cardstock (can also use 20-pound paper for a less sturdy shape)
Scissors
Piercing tool or t-pin or straight pin
Paper towel
Winged Cardstock Angel pattern

The Steps for How to Make the Easy Angel Crafts: Winged Cardstock Angel:

Print the Winged Cardstock Angel pattern on the paper of your choice.

Cut around the outside of the printed pattern shape.

For the wings cut inside the lines.

The lines on the robe and face will be hidden on the back, however the lines will show on the front of the wings if they are not cut away.

Cut along the dotted lines as well.
Fold the paper towel into several layers. This forms a sturdy yet soft backing for punching the holes.

Begin punching the holes for the halo using a pin or sharp paper piercing tool.
Follow the line on the head shape to finish punching the holes for the halo.

Begin punching the outline on the bottom of the angel's robe.

Finish punching the lower portion of the angel's robe.
Form a gentle bend in the front of the angel's shape.

Place your finger along an imaginary line from the head through the neck and the top of the body and gently wrap the paper along either side.

This bend helps prevent a tear in the paper as you overlap the wings.
Overlap the wings along the cut dotted lines to form the angel's shape.
The pretty little Winged Cardstock Angel is finished and ready to display.
Here is another version, this time in blue.
Three little angels ready to add to the holiday decorations.
Choose the colors that you prefer for your angel. And, if you have the time, add other decorative touches such as glitter, a face or whatever you fancy.

This could also be a fun coloring project for young children (And seniors, too!)

Have fun!

The Winged Cardstock Angel is a fun and easy project for any time of the year.
