Let's look at the materials and the steps for how to make the wire angel:

Wire - one piece roughly 30 inches long (longer or shorter for different sized angels) 
Ribbon - one piece of 1/2 to 3/4 inch wide by 20 inches long (wired ribbon is not necessary, but it keeps its shape better) 
Scissors 
Wire cutters 
Ruler (optional - for measuring the ribbon and the wire)

The Steps for How to Make the Easy Angel Crafts: Wire Angel:

The wire needs to be strong yet flexible enough to be easily molded into the shape using your fingers.

The wire shown for this angel is naturally wrapped floral wire.

Other types of wire can be used with simple and pretty results.

Make the first bend in the wire roughly five inches from the end.

Curve the wire back across itself roughly 1 1/2 inches from the end. (Note: the clip was used for photography.

It's not needed to make the Easy Angel Crafts Wire Angel.)

Curve the wire into a small circle for the head of the Easy Angel Craft Wire Angel.

Continue curving the wire for the lower edge of the opposite wing.

Looking at the first wing, curve the wire for the second wing to be roughly the same size as the first.

Make a bend in the wire at the top of the second wing.

Bring the wire to overlap the other wires at the angel's neck.

Curve the wire into a circular shape for the body and bend the two ends of the wire together.

Fold the ends of the wire to make the connection as small as possible.

If necessary, cut some of the wire off of the securely connected ends.

Position the angel over the ribbon.

Bring the ends of the ribbon up through the two wings.

Overlap the ribbon in the front.

Push the ribbon through the wings to the back.

Overlap the ribbon in the back and pull the ends to the front again.

Overlapping the ribbon allows you to secure the four crossed wires tightly before you make the bow.

Tie a bow in the ribbon.

Your Easy Angel Crafts Wire Angel is finished and hanging on the tree.

If you desire, use an ornament hook to hang the wire angel.

You can also add a loop of ribbon or string to the top of the angel for hanging it on a tree, a door knob or a simple hook.

Use a hole punch to place a hole in one corner of a small card.

Thread the card onto the angel as it is being made.

When the angel is complete, add the name of the person to the card.
