The Steps for How to Make the Easy Paper Crafts: Five Point Celtic Star:

Print the Five Point Celtic Star pattern.

Cut around five of the shapes.

For a consistent cut edge, hold the scissors steady in one hand and feed the paper into the scissors with the opposite hand.
Five Point Celtic Star step 1 cut shapes
Place all of the cut pieces with the printed side up.

This will be the back of the star.

Any printed edges of the pattern that did not get trimmed off will be hidden.

Position the long end of one shape against the short end of a second shape.

Do not overlap.

Tape the two ends together with a small piece of tape.
Five Point Celtic Star step 2 connect first two shapes
Add a third shape by connecting its long end to the short end.

This piece should be under the other shapes.

Do not overlap the ends.

Use a small piece of tape to connect the two ends.
Five Point Celtic Star step 3 add third shape
Add the fourth shape.

Connect its short end to the long end.

Make sure its path alternates going over and under the pieces already in place.

Do not overlap the ends.

Tape the two ends together but not to the underlying shape.
Five Point Celtic Star step 4 add fourth shape
Add the fifth shape.

Its short end connects to the long end in the taped-together shape while its long end connects to the short end in the shape.

Make sure every crossing point alternates over and under as you move around the star.

Connect the last two junctions as the earlier ones with a small piece of tape over the butt joints.

All of the connections should be "over" such that when the design is turned over they will be hidden.
Five Point Celtic Star step 5 add fifth shape
Turn the taped-together star over and place it on the background paper.

Center the design horizontally and vertically on the background.

Place one point of the star upward with its point in the horizontal center.

Center the star vertically by measuring the distance to the edge from the upper point to the upper edge and the two lower points to the lower edge.
Five Point Celtic Star step 6 center on background
Use double-sided tape or glue to attach the five point Celtic star to the  background paper.
Five Point Celtic Star step 7 attach shape to background
Add a frame to display the Celtic star.

This frame is a black 12x12-inch frame sized for scrapbook pages.
