The Steps for How to Make the Easy Paper Crafts: Seven Point Star:
First, decide what size star you want to make.
The patterns include from 1/4 inch width strip which makes a two inch star up to a two inch width strip which makes a nine inch star.

Our blue star, shown above and in the steps below, consists of seven 1.5 inch wide strips glued together to become a seven inch star.
Cut seven strips the size you need for your star.

With the shorter side at the top, place glue on the right end of the paper strip.
Pick up the paper strip with the shorter length at the top.
Place the left pointed end between your left thumb and forefinger.
Place the right pointed end between your right thumb and forefinger being careful of the glue which should be facing you.
Make a circle with your hands going away from you.
Make your left hand go behind your right bringing the glued end to the inside and facing toward the end in your left hand.
Bring the points together,and adjust where they perfectly overlap.
Add more glue if the paper ends are not adhering completely.
Use a clothespin to hold the end pieces together until the glue dries.
Place the left pointed end between your left thumb and forefinger.
Place the right pointed end between your right thumb and forefinger being careful of the glue which should be facing you.

Make your left hand go behind your right bringing the glued end to the inside and facing toward the end in your left hand.

These steps are very simple, but even after doing many of them, your hands and brain can get confused, thus, speaks the voice of experience.

Make a circle in the air with your hands going away from you such that the "1" end overlaps the "2" end on the inside.
Make sure the points of both ends overlap perfectly.

Continue making the individual points until all seven points are complete. (Stick glue dries quickly if you only have fingers to hold the end pieces.)
After all the points have dried, apply glue to one side of the curved point.
Position a second point against the glue matching the ends.
Hold until the glue dries.

Continue gluing the points together.
If you have enough clothespins, keep gluing until the star is formed matching the points in the middle.
When dry, remove the pins from your star.
Optionally, glue beads to the middle of the star. (Hint, the beads hide any mishaps with the points not quite matching in the middle.)
Your star is finished! Use tape or glue to attach your star to your gift.
For a different idea, use different colors of paper strips in the same star.
Or, for a children's project, ask them to color the strips - all one color or challenge them to color using their own ideas.
