The Steps for How to Make the Easy Felt Crafts: Napkin Ring:
The napkin ring in the example consists of red felt with a small, golden bell as the "button."
Determine the size of your napkins.
Fold or roll the napkin and measure around the napkin where the ring will go.
Add 1.5 inches to this measurement for overlap.
The red rectangle below measures 1.5 inches by 7 inches.
With this size, one 9x12 piece of felt yields nine napkin rings.
With the needle, make two small stitches below where the bell will be positioned.
Here, the bell will be centered across the felt at one inch from the end.
Do not pull the end of the thread all the way to the felt.
Leave a couple of inches of thread to tie to the other end after the bell has been attached.
Add the bell to the felt by pushing the needle through the shank of the bell.
Attach the bell with at least two stitches through the felt and through the bell.
Knot the two ends of the thread together and trim the ends of the thread being careful to not cut the knot.
On the other end of the felt, cut a small hole for the "buttonhole."
Make the hole starting 1 inch from the end.
Overlap the ends and "button" the bell through the hole.
Your napkin ring is finished!
