The five point wooden star is simple and can be easily made in different sizes.
Easy Christmas Crafts: Five Point Wooden Star Materials and Tools:
Five wooden skewers 12 inches long for the larger version shown here (for other options use five wooden sticks or twigs of equal length)
String (or yarn) five pieces, each approximately 10-12 inches long
Ruler (needed if you are cutting the wooden pieces to equal length)
Scissors
Glue (only needed for the smaller stars)

The Steps for How to Make the Easy Christmas Crafts: Five Point Wooden Star:
Cut the five pieces of string or yarn. I used #10 crochet yarn.
Each piece should be 10 to 12 inches long and will be used to tie the endpoints together.

Cross two of the wooden skewers 1 1/2 inches from their ends to form the upper portion of an "A" shape.
Add the third skewer across the first two less than halfway down the shape.

Smaller stars, where the wooden pieces are too short to allow weaving, will require glue at the points in the picture shown after we complete this larger star.
