Drinking straws - two colors, 3 of primary color and 2 of secondary color
Card stock or heavy paper
Yarn
Ruler
Scissors

The Steps for How to Make the Easy Christmas Crafts: Drinking Straw Mosaic Ornament:
Measure and cut the card stock backing.
Cut a square 2.75 by 2.75 inches.
At each corner, measure and cut away 0.75 by 0.75-inch squares.
Measure and cut a 10-inch piece of yarn.
Using one tip of the scissors, make a small hole in an inside corner of the cross.
Push one end of the yarn through the hole. Pull the ends even and tie a knot to make the hanging loop.
Next, measure and cut the straw pieces.
The next image shows the measurements and placement of the two colors of drinking straws.
Cover one side of the card stock backing with double sided tape.
Position the first set of straw pieces from Color 1.
Place the two 1.5-inch pieces along the center of the cross in one direction.
Place two of the 1.375-inch straw pieces perpendicular at the center point.
Add the next set of straw pieces from the Color 2 straws.
Add the final set of straws from the Color 1 straw pieces.
The ends vary by 0.125 (or 1/8) inch. If necessary, trim any excess.
